Pohick Station HOA’s Trash and Recycling Collection Procedures

As part of the HOA Board’s effort to update the documentation package that our HOA management company provides to all new homeowners, a one-page summary describing our HOA’s Trash and Recycling Collection procedures and requirements has been developed.  Since this is also useful information for all current HOA members and residents, it is being posted here, as well being emailed out to everyone on the Pohick Station HOA group email distribution list, and mailed out to all homeowners in the HOA.

The first attached file, “Pohick Station HOA Trash, Recycling, Yard Waste Collection.pdf”, contains the Republic Services schedule for pickups in our neighborhood, as well as additional information and special instructions for Recycling and Yard Waste collection.  It also includes the procedure for requesting Bulk Item pickups (available for an additional cost), and the procedure for requesting a free replacement for a damaged Trash or Recycling cart, or an upgrade from a small Recycling bin to a large Recycling cart.

The second attached file, “Recycling Right in Fairfax County.pdf”, is a Fairfax County publication that provides additional information on what is and is not allowed to be placed in your curbside Recycling bin, and it also identifies where you may bring recyclable items that are not acceptable for curbside collection.
