Two very large trees have fallen down in the woods (South Run Stream Valley Park) and are blocking the footpath that connects Winslow Drive and Pohick Station Drive. The HOA Board has contacted the Fairfax County Park Authority about this situation, and has requested that they send a team out as soon as possible to remove these trees and clear the path. We have not heard back from them yet, but expect to receive a response by tomorrow.
In the meantime, please be very careful when walking along the path, as these trees pose a safety hazard, and we do not recommend trying to cross by going over or under the trees. There have also been sightings of bees in the area, so this may have disturbed a hive as well.
We will keep the community informed of the plans to remove the trees once we hear back from Fairfax County.
